John Edwards was appointed to the position of Managing Director, Individual Products Division on 2nd October 2013. In this newly created role, John has global responsibility for designing and creating a portfolio of brand extending products, ranging from high value halo vehicles to life style merchandise. The scope of the new business covers both Jaguar and Land Rover brands and will target past, present and future customers.
In his previous role John was Global Brand Director, Land Rover, where he had global strategic responsibility for the Land Rover Brand; current and future product planning; revenue generation; marketing communications and brand extension strategies.
Prior to this he was Regional Director, Land Rover UK and European Operations. In this role John had commercial responsibility for Land Rover Sales and Marketing activities in Europe.
Previous roles have included Managing Director, Land Rover UK before which he was Regional Director for Overseas Operations (effectively managing all Jaguar and Land Rover business outside of UK, Europe and North America). Before joining Jaguar Land Rover he was Director of Global Marketing at Land Rover and also Director of Mini/ MG UK, a division with the BMW Group established to manage Sales, Marketing and Distribution of Mini and MG vehicles in the UK market place.
John initially graduated in Sports Science before studying the discipline of Marketing. He now lives near Stratford-upon-Avon, where he manages the balance between work and family life, enjoys sport (especially skiing) and adventure travel.
